Delegating declaration rights to PassportCraft

Last updated August 24, 2026

Why this step exists

PassportCraft is registered on the France affichage portal as a Bureau d'études, the account type for an organization that declares on behalf of brands.

Delegating authorizes us to use that registration for your products. You stay the responsible brand. After the one-time delegation you never file through the portal yourself and you never handle an API token — but you do need a portal account to grant the delegation, and Step 1 below is where you create it. A brand can also register its own organization on the portal and declare its own products — delegating is what lets us do it for you instead.

Who can do it

An organization owner or admin. You also need to be able to sign in to, or create, your brand's account on the France affichage portal.

There is no delegation page in Settings. The wizard only appears on a filing path, so an owner or admin doing this on a colleague's behalf has to start a filing to reach it — either from a textile passport in the editor, or from the guided France flow you reach after signing up from the campaign page. Both are described below.

Before you start: open the wizard

If you signed up from the campaign page at passportcraft.com/cout-environnemental, the same delegation wizard appears in the guided France flow, and steps 1 to 3 below are the same. Only the way you reach it differs: the funnel has one File my official score button with the attestation checkbox beside it, instead of the editor's separate confirm dialog.

Open a textile passport that lists France in Markets sold into and go to the Sustainability & compliance step. Click Estimate the score first — until the passport has an estimate, and everything the card lists is complete, the File the official declaration button is not on screen at all. Then click File the official declaration, tick the attestation in the dialog, and click File now.

If your brand has not delegated yet, the wizard titled Delegate declaration rights opens at that point. You do not have to find this step in settings — but note it comes after the attestation, not before it. Nothing is filed while the wizard is open.

Step 1: Create or open your portal account

Click Open the France affichage portal. The button opens the professionals' page, which offers both sign-up and sign-in.

Step 2: Delegate on the portal

Once signed in, open the « Organisation » tab and find « Déléguer mes droits à une entreprise ». Choose « Via son identifiant unique ».

Paste PassportCraft's identifiant unique. The wizard shows it with a copy button beside it — a copy icon, labelled Copy identifiant for screen readers — so you do not have to retype it.

Then save on the portal.

Delegation covers every brand in your portal catalogue

The portal's own wording is that the délégataire gets access to « l'ensemble de votre catalogue de marques ». That is every brand registered under your organization on the portal and every product reference under them, not only the one brand you intend to file, and not only the products you file through PassportCraft. If your organization holds several brands, check that this is what you intend before you save.

Step 3: Verify from PassportCraft

Return to the wizard, enter your SIRET or brand name, and click I've delegated — verify.

On success the wizard shows Delegation confirmed and a Continue to filing button. Delegating does not file anything on its own: click File the official declaration again and confirm the attestation once more. The rest is in Filing your coût environnemental with the French State.

If verification does not go through

The wizard names the reason.

  • "We don't see this delegation on the portal yet." The delegation can take a moment to appear after you save. Check the SIRET or brand name matches the organization you delegated from, then try again.
  • Several brands on the portal. If your organization has more than one marque registered, the wizard lists them and asks which one we should file under. Pick it from the list.
  • "This brand is already linked to another PassportCraft account." Another account holds that marque. You cannot resolve this alone — use the Contact us about this brand button and we will confirm which account should hold it.
  • The portal is unreachable, or not configured. Both are temporary. Try again shortly.
  • "Something went wrong while verifying. Please try again." If you are an editor, this is what you get — the verify step needs owner or admin rights and does not say so. Ask an owner or admin to complete the delegation. A viewer never reaches the wizard: the server checks the role before it checks the delegation, so a viewer is refused outright rather than sent to the wizard.

One delegation, then it is done

You only do this once per organization. Each filing still checks the portal, so if the delegation is later changed or withdrawn there, the wizard reappears the next time you file. If you are still deciding whether the scheme applies to your products, the free scope check answers that in about a minute without an account.

Frequently asked questions

Who in my team can do this?

An organization owner or admin. An editor can reach the wizard but the verify step refuses and shows only 'Something went wrong while verifying. Please try again.', so ask an owner or admin to complete it once. After that, editors can file normally.

Why does PassportCraft need this delegation?

PassportCraft is registered on the France affichage portal as a Bureau d'études, the account type for an organization that declares on behalf of brands. You delegate once and we file for you, and you stay the responsible brand. You can also register your own organization on the portal and declare your own products yourself.

Do I have to do this for every product?

No. Delegation is one-time per organization, unless you change or withdraw it on the portal, in which case the wizard reappears on your next filing. Your plan and free-offer allowance are checked separately on every filing.

The verify step says the delegation isn't visible. What now?

It can take a moment to appear after you save on the portal. Check the SIRET or brand name you entered matches the organization you delegated from, then try again.
