Product models & individual items
A Digital Product Passport describes a product model. The EU Battery Regulation asks for data about each individual battery, not only about the model. Those are two different counts, so we keep them apart. Your plan sets how many models you can publish. Under each published model, your plan sets how many individual item records you can hold. A serial number never spends a published-passport slot.
If your rules describe product models rather than individual items, use the published-passport allowance to compare capacity.
40 product models use 40 published-passport slots. Starter covers that capacity at €24 a month, billed yearly.
6 e-bike models and 20,000 packs is 6 published passports, with about 3,334 serial numbers under each one. Pro covers that capacity at €66 a month, billed yearly.
Serial numbers never count against your published-passport allowance. The ceiling counts the serials currently recorded under a passport — it is not an annual allowance, and deleting a serial frees its place.

Free publishes 3 passports at no cost. Paid monthly, Starter is €29 for 50 published passports, Pro is €79 for 500, and Scale is €199 for 2,000. A yearly plan costs about 17% less. Every plan is billed in euro and includes GS1 QR codes, a hosted passport page with labels in nine languages and CSV import.
Pro and Scale let each workspace connect one subdomain, such as dpp.yourbrand.com. You can complete DNS setup during a Pro trial. The address starts serving passports after verification and payment. Newly downloaded QR codes then use your domain; existing codes using passportcraft.com keep working.

No. The QR code of a published passport can be scanned any number of times at no extra cost.
Yes, at any time. Moving up takes effect immediately. Moving down applies from your next billing date.
Publishing is refused until you move up a plan. Publish in the app and the organization owner is emailed before the last slot is used. Nothing is billed for going over, because nothing goes over.
Your plan's limits change to those of the plan you move to. Your data stays yours, and you can export it at any time.
No. The connector is included on every plan, the free one as well. Drafting costs nothing. A plan is what publishing needs.
Your product text is published in the language you wrote it in and in English, on every plan including the free one. A paid plan adds the other languages you choose. Translations are made automatically from your own words, and the passport always offers the version you wrote. Our own labels and field names appear in nine languages.
Some rules ask for data about each individual item, not only about the model. The EU Battery Regulation is one. A serial number is that per-item record, and it sits under the model's passport. Each plan includes a number of them per published passport, counted over the serials currently recorded.

PassportCraft hosts the passport page, generates the QR code, and asks you for the fields the regulation names. The data is yours and you are responsible for it being accurate. PassportCraft does not register passports with an EU registry, and does not certify a product.
