Working with a partner

Last updated September 24, 2026

What a partner can do in your workspace

Your partner's staff work in your workspace with the Partner role. With it, they can:

  • create, edit, import, publish and unpublish passports, and approve a publish request from an assistant;
  • invite people to your team, remove them and change their roles;
  • create API keys and connect assistants for your workspace;
  • sign the GTIN ownership attestation for your French environmental-cost declarations, once your partner has confirmed in your workspace that you gave it written authorisation.

They do not need your approval for each of these actions.

What a partner cannot do

Your partner's staff cannot become the owner of your workspace. Their role here follows their role at their own company, so you cannot change it from your Team section, but an owner or administrator can remove them one at a time. They also cannot accept, decline or stop the arrangement: only your own owner or administrators can. While your partner pays for your plan, the Billing section is hidden from everyone in your workspace, including your owner.

Accepting or declining a request

If your partner created your workspace, there is nothing to accept: the arrangement is already in place, and its staff already work in it.

If a partner asks to manage a workspace you already have, your owner and administrators see the request in Settings → Workspace: "[Partner's name] asks to manage this workspace", with Accept and Decline buttons. Nothing changes until one of them answers.

  1. Open Settings → Workspace.
  2. Read what accepting means. Your partner's staff will work here with administrator rights, and you can end the arrangement at any time on the same page.
  3. Click Accept or Decline.

If you decline, the request disappears and nothing in your workspace changes.

Keys and assistants your partner connects

  • Keys your partner's staff create while working in your workspace appear in your own list in Settings → API keys, like any other key.
  • Keys that belong to your partner's organization appear in the same place, under Keys acting on this workspace, with the date each one's access began. An owner or administrator can remove a key's access with Revoke access. While your partner manages your workspace, it can give the key access again; to prevent that, stop the arrangement.
  • Settings → Connections marks each assistant your partner's staff connected with "Connected by [partner's name]".

Every assistant connection, whoever makes it, reaches one workspace only. It can never publish a passport or change one that is already public.

Who receives billing email

While your partner pays for your plan, emails about a failed payment go to your partner's owners and administrators, because the card is theirs. Nobody in your workspace receives them.

Stopping a partner

Only your own owner or administrators can stop the arrangement.

  1. Open Settings → Workspace and click Terminate arrangement.
  2. Confirm. Your partner's staff lose access immediately. Every key and assistant they connected in your workspace stops working, and your partner's own keys lose their access to it.

If your workspace has no owner yet, confirming makes you its owner. For what happens to your plan, see Who pays after I stop? below.

Frequently asked questions

Can my partner publish passports?

Yes. Your partner's staff have administrator rights in your workspace, so they can create, edit, import, publish and unpublish passports.

Who pays after I stop?

If your partner pays for your plan, the plan runs until the date that payment covers; the date is shown when you click Terminate arrangement. To keep the plan after that date, add a payment method and choose a plan in Settings → Billing before it. Otherwise your workspace moves to the Free plan on that date. If you pay for your plan yourself, you keep paying for it as before.
